This version of The Tempest provides roles for 22 students: 4 male roles, 1 female roles, and 17 roles that can be played by either. All 22 roles are speaking characters. 7 are considered large, 4 are considered medium, and 11 roles are considered small. The small roles are easy to combine, double-cast, or eliminate to adjust for varying class size. The performance run time is approximately 45 minutes with no intermission.
